13 of the students have been admitted on the Wa municipal hospital whereas one other is receiving therapy on the regional hospital.
At least 200 feminine students on the Wa SHTS have been displaced, following a fire outbreak that razed the highest ground of a two-storey dormitory on the college on Sunday night time.
The fire which began round 8 pm, destroyed private belongings, provisions, and stationery, amounting to a whole bunch of Ghana Cedis.
Eight students fainted from panic after seeing the raging flames.
The Upper West Regional Director of Education, Abdul-Razak Korah disclosed that administration has determined to briefly shut down the varsity to permit for an intensive investigation into the two infernos that erupted on the evenings of Sunday and Monday.
The Deputy Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Assistant Divisional Fire Officer (DOIII), Imran Iddrisu, led the staff of firefighters to quench the fire.
DOIII Iddrisu stated the trigger of the fire, which burnt 5 rooms on the highest ground of the constructing, was not identified, however an investigation had commenced ascertaining the trigger.
The fire destroyed a number of properties belonging to occupants of the dormitory together with books, meals gadgets, mattresses, and garments in addition to the coed beds working into hundreds of Ghana cedis.
