One of the factories under the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative, Enable Youth Factory, located in Kinatmpo Bono East Region of Ghana has been abandoned.
The factory was supposed to be processing mangos.

Although the factory has been completed, it has not been in operation, a situation that has left residents worried.
“This is a disturbing situation,” a resident told 3news.com
It is unclear why the factory has been left unused.

The 1D1F initiative is the vision of His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to change the nature of Ghana’s economy from one which is dependent on import and export of raw material to one which is focused on manufacturing, value addition and export of processed goods.
