The Ghana Centre for Democratic Improvement (CDD-Ghana) has mentioned in a report that half, 50%, of all Ghanaian adults need the 1992 Structure amended to empower residents to elect all native authorities representatives, together with the one-third appointed by the president.

Nonetheless, the report added, a sizeable minority (43%) need the established order maintained.

Near seven in each 10 Ghanaians favor non-partisan election format for the collection of native authorities representatives (together with the one-third appointees) to make sure residents’ participation and collection of competent particular person (13%); cut back political interference (11%); and produce options to neighborhood issues (11%).
