Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye is encouraging funding within the well being sector to create extra job alternatives for the youth.
The Minister, throughout his tour of the Ashanti area, pressured the significance of well being services in lowering unemployment within the nation.
He disclosed the position of well being services in lowering unemployment, making these remarks throughout visits to the Fomena Government Hospital within the Adansi North District and the Sekyere Kumawu District Hospital, which started operations in November 2023 and April 2024, respectively.
Both Fomena and Sekyere Kumawu District hospitals are a part of a venture involving six well being services and workers lodging, initiated beneath a $175 million contract signed with NMS Infrastructure in 2012.
“I hear people say let’s create jobs and one of the best ways to create jobs is to put up a health facility. You will have to recruit new professionals but you also need those who don’t have special skills but can be trained to be of use in the hospital and I believe that one of the ways to create opportunities for the youth is to invest in the health sector, especially in health facilities” Mr. Boye added.
