The Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has mourned the demise of 14 worshippers who have been killed by a trailer following an accident after Juma’at prayers on Friday, in Kano.
The Federal Road Safety Corps had on Friday confirmed the demise of 14 worshippers when a trailer ran over them after Friday prayers at Imawa city in Kura LGA of Kano State.
Barau, in a press release on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, commiserated with the households of the deceased.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and the speedy restoration of all of the injured individuals.
He mentioned, ”With profound unhappiness, we mourn the tragic lack of 14 worshippers crushed by a trailer after Juma’at prayers on Friday in Kano.
”Our hearts exit to the households and family members of the victims. We provide our deepest condolences on this hour of unimaginable grief.
“We pray for the souls of the departed to rest in Aljanatul Firdausi and for the Almighty Allah to grant strength and comfort to those they left behind.”
