Highlife musician Chairman Ok has expressed disappointment over rapper Amerado Burner’s delay in selling their joint music video for Otan Hunu, which has been trending on TikTok for the previous two weeks.
Speaking in an interview with Kweku Adu Kumi on Asempa FM’s Showbiz Review, Chairman Ok revealed that whereas his tune Otan Hunu has gained important traction on social media, particularly on TikTok, Amerado hasn’t fulfill his a part of their settlement to advertise the video.
“I released it two weeks ago. People are using it on TikTok and jamming to it, but Amerado has not posted it yet, and people have been questioning me,” Chairman Ok said.
According to the highlife musician, the settlement was clear that he would launch the video, and Amerado would share his half and the refrain on his social media platforms.
“The agreement was that I would do my part, then he would post his part and the chorus on his social media handles. We all agreed… even his management was videoing us with their quality phone,” Chairman Ok defined.
He emphasised that the collaboration was meant to assist them develop their viewers base, significantly by tapping into Amerado’s followers.
Despite paying Amerado for his participation, the rapper’s lack of promotion has led to questions being directed at Chairman Ok.
“I called him, and he said he would talk to the management, but I have not heard from him since I released it,” Chairman Ok added.
“If someone is promoting and the one I featured doesn’t promote, it looks like I have an issue with him. But I don’t have any issue with him… People are asking me too many questions, so I just want people to know to ease the tension on me.”
Chairman Ok hopes that Amerado and his crew will fulfill their dedication to advertise Otan Hunu, as agreed upon throughout their collaboration.
