Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and immediate-past governor of the state, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, had been among the many dignitaries who gathered at The African Church Cathedral of St. James, Idi-Ape, Abeokuta, on Friday to bid farewell to the foremost educationist and late Iyalode of Egba and Yorubaland, Chief Mrs Oluwaseun Alaba Lawson.
The late Lawson, aged 72 and proprietor of Alaba Lawson Group of Schools, died on October 28 after a short sickness.

Abiodun, in his tribute, described the deceased as an illustrious daughter of the state of whom the whole indigenes had been proud.

In his sermon, Most Rev. Julius Abbe, Primate of the African Church, described the deceased as a form and beneficiant lady.
Abbe, who took the textual content of his sermon from Matthew 5:8, defined that the late Lawson touched lives positively, saying that it might be troublesome to neglect her affect on the house entrance, church, and society at massive.
