MP for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has alleged that the employees of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) had been paid a day by day stipend of GHc100 whereas their contracted overseas counterparts received GHc1,000 to cowl the 2023 African Games.
According to him, the GBC solely obtained a sum of $105,000 for its total protection of the Games, which happened between February and March this 12 months.

“Questions have to be answered…We will do a proper investigation of the issues surrounding the African Games, expenses, releases and disbursement to staff; that will happen.”
Meanwhile, the Sports Ministry has but to formally reply to the newest feedback from the GBC Director General denying receipt of any $3 million.
