Arsenal produced a powerful show as they thrashed West Ham 6-0 of their Premier League encounter, transferring them as much as third place and inside placing distance of league leaders Liverpool.
The victory was Arsenal’s largest-ever away win within the Premier League and inflicted West Ham’s heaviest house defeat within the competitors, equalling a 8-2 loss in opposition to Blackburn in 1963-64.
The guests dominated proceedings from the beginning, racing to a 4-0 lead contained in the opening 45 minutes courtesy of targets from William Saliba, Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, and Leandro Trossard.
