Arsenal produced a powerful show as they thrashed West Ham 6-0 of their Premier League encounter, transferring them as much as third place and inside placing distance of league leaders Liverpool.
The victory was Arsenal’s largest-ever away win within the Premier League and inflicted West Ham’s heaviest house defeat within the competitors, equalling a 8-2 loss in opposition to Blackburn in 1963-64.
The guests dominated proceedings from the beginning, racing to a 4-0 lead contained in the opening 45 minutes courtesy of targets from William Saliba, Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, and Leandro Trossard.

The hosts had been unable to get well from the early onslaught, with Saka including his second objective shortly after halftime.
Declan Rice, who beforehand performed for West Ham, rubbed salt into the injuries by scoring Arsenal’s sixth objective with a strong strike from long-range.
The emphatic victory sees Arsenal keep in third spot, simply two factors adrift of leaders Liverpool, whereas West Ham stay in midtable.
