The Ghana National Gas Company has scheduled a deliberate upkeep shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant, beginning Monday, October 4.
An announcement from the Corporate Communications of GNGC, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, mentioned the scheduled momentary shutdown, which can final between October 4 to October 18, 2021, would permit the group of engineers to undertake routine upkeep of the Atuabo Plant to enhance its capability of steady productiveness and extend its lifespan.
The key advantage of the upkeep was to reinforce operability and reliability of its processing and transportation infrastructure.

“During the Maintenance Shutdown, there shall be an installation of High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) and maintenance works on the replacement of Small Bore Piping (SBP), Heat Exchangers (HEX) cleaning, replacement of damaged Product Cooler, replacement of defective valves and re-calibration of all our Safety Critical Equipment including Pressure Safety Valves,” it mentioned.
The assertion assured all stakeholders that the group can be working with companions to make sure system stability through the shutdown interval and reduce the affect on energy provide.
