The Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs have counseled Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for spearheading an impactful digitalization drive for Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia is within the Ashanti Region on three-day marketing campaign tour and he paid a courtesy name on the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs on day 1 of his tour.
Delivering a speech earlier than a gathering of the Chiefs, media and the Veep’s delegation, the Mamponghene and the second gentleman in command on the Asante Kingdom, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, was in awe of the nice works by Dr. Bawumia.
He lauded the Vice President for his developmental initiatives, significantly his digitalisation programme which has birthed a sturdy nationwide identification system by means of the introduction of the Ghana Card amongst others.

The Mamponghene urged Dr. Bawumia to be “bold and implement your new digital policies to the letter. It is so dear to us Nananom, for the advancement of the nation”.
