Parts of Accra flooded after brief downpour

Elements of Accra have been flooded following a couple of hours of heavy rainfall between Thursday night time and Friday daybreak.

Many residents had been left scooping water from their compounds with commuters being left stranded in visitors.

A number of the areas affected had been Kaneshie to the Dansoman Junction, North Industrial Space, First Mild, Abbosey Okai and Adabraka Sahara amongst others.

In the meantime, the Ghana Meteorological Company has indicated that there are possibilities of rain in some elements of the nation.

“It’s cloudy throughout the nation this morning. Elements of the nation will expertise rain this morning. Brighter circumstances are anticipated because the day progresses. Remoted rain is predicted within the night throughout the nation,” it mentioned in a press release.
