The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Ernest Addison, has justified the GHS10.5 billion losses it incurred in 2023.
He defined that the loss was much like experiences of some central banks throughout the globe, which resulted from the price incurred in delivering on their main mandate
of value stability.
This is contained within the foreword to the BOG’s 2023 Annual Report and Financial Statement.
Mr Addison mentioned the loss didn’t have an effect on the central financial institution’s total operations.
