This based on her was achieved as a result of nation’s cyber safety invoice that was handed in December final 12 months.
Mrs Owusu-Ekuful made this identified whereas she was talking on the launch of the Ghana Cyber Security Authority.
She stated, “indeed all these efforts have not gone unnoticed as our cyber-security Act 2020 Act10 (38) is now considered world-class legislation and at par with similar legislation in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Rwanda, and other countries with robust cyber security legislation.”
“And that is what has resulted in our ranking as 3rd in Africa on the ITU cyber security index and 43rd globally with the score of 86.69%. Incidentally, in 2017, we recorded a score of 32.6% and that is when we realized that we needed to set up our efforts in this regard.”
She added “Ghana scored 19.35% out of a total of 20% regarding the legal regime, that’s not bad. And this high score was achieved because of the passage of the law.”
