Hearts of Oak have reportedly been fined $5,000 by Confederation Soccer African (CAF) for internet hosting their final Champions League match on a ‘horrible pitch’.
The Phobians, within the first qualifying spherical, hosted Guinean aspect CI Kamsar in a single leg match performed on the Accra Sports activities Stadium on Sunday, September 19.
However it’s stated that CAF weren’t happy with the state of the pitch and have fined the Ghanaian champions.
Hearts received the match 2-0 with objectives from Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams within the final 10 minutes to guide their place within the subsequent spherical of the competitors.
Their reward for overcoming the Guinean aspect is a conflict with Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca.
Hearts will host the primary leg in Accra however following the reported tremendous, the Phobians must work on bettering the pitch.
The match is scheduled for October 15 with the return leg on October 22 in Casablanca.
The winner will advance to the group stage whereas the loser has an opportunity within the CAF Confederation Cup.
