The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is about to embark on a nationwide COVID-19 vaccination marketing campaign.
The train to happen between May 7 and May 10, 2024, in response to GHS, is in response to escalating infections at varied healthcare amenities.
The Director of Public Health, Dr Franklin Asiedu-Bekoe who disclosed this defined that, the train will likely be focused in components of the Greater Accra the place circumstances have been recorded to date.
“We are getting a number of circumstances reported in components of Accra and some different areas. And it brings to bear the truth that Ghanaians have to be vaccinated and so forth the 4th to the tenth of May, we’re going to do a nationwide COVID-19 vaccination marketing campaign and we need to urge all Ghanaians to be a part of the train.
“We plan to do about four or five before the end of the year. The thinking is that we need to get the necessary population immunity that will help us minimize the risk of getting infections in the country,” he defined in a report by Accra-based Citi News.
Dr Asiedu-Bekoe has urged strict adherence to security measures and protocols as he expressed fear over the straightforward transmission.
