Ghanaian actress Portia Asare has lastly confirmed the rumors about her divorce, three years after tying the knot for the second time in 2021. This comes after social media was buzzing in 2023 with stories that her marriage to Raymond Kwaku Marfo had hit the rocks, with accusations flying round that Marfo was a serial womanizer. She was first married to Pastor John Wilberforce in 2013.
In a candid interview with Ahodwo TV in August 2024, Portia opened up in regards to the divorce however made it clear that she’s not letting it break her spirit. “I am not a quitter,” she mentioned. “Nothing defeats me except going against the will of God. I’m not going to give up just because I’ve been divorced twice. I am not at a disadvantage. The Lord says He will order my steps; He is the one who tells me where to go.”
Portia Asare is set to not let this setback outline her. “I am not ready now, but if marriage comes 10,000 times, I will marry 10,000 times. I have a long way to go.”
