Kasoa New Market Burnt
A raging hearth swept by the Kasoa New Market within the Central Region, leaving a path of destruction and despair in its wake.
The early Sunday morning blaze destroyed quite a few outlets, inflicting important property harm and displacing a number of market girls who rely in the marketplace for his or her livelihood.
According to sources, the fireplace could have been triggered by human actions, sparking issues about security protocols and emergency preparedness out there.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched an investigation into the reason for the fireplace.
Akosua Agyeiwaa, a devastated market girl, recounted her harrowing expertise: “I received a call that my shop was on fire, and by the time I arrived, the entire space was engulfed in flames. I’ve lost everything and am unsure how I’ll recover.”
The Assistant Chief Fire Officer Grade II Kofi Forson praised his group for bringing the fireplace beneath management, regardless of the difficult circumstances.
“The fire had reached its growth stage when we arrived, but my men managed to contain it. We’ve warned the market women against cooking or using naked flames in the market,” he added.
