Atik Mohammed has requested former President and chief of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, to be cautious of the folks round him following Kwesi Ahwoi’s feedback.
Mr. Ahwoi, an NDC stalwart, at a reception organized final Thursday by the Churchstreet group of NDC trustworthy for Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, advised her to arrange herself to succeed John Mahama if voted into energy.
He alluded to the demise of Ex-President Evans Atta Mills, giving the impression that Mr. Mahama might endure similar destiny earlier than the tip of his tenure, therefore giving Prof. Jane Naana the chance to take over the reins of presidency.
Kwesi Ahwoi has nevertheless rendered an apology to Mahama and the rank and file of his get together saying “I sincerely regret the wrong impression that my comment has created. But Atik has admonished the previous President stressing “he must be additional cautious”.
He condemned Mr. Ahwoi for failing to restrain himself from making such a comment.
“What the person mentioned may be very disturbing. From the abundance of the center, the mouth speaketh as a result of I do not see something that would have provoked such a remark if it wasn’t one thing already in his thoughts…It’s unacceptable; it is objectionable!”, he lamented on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, adding “these aren’t the sorts of issues we wish in our political area. It’s extraordinarily disturbing”.
