The New Patriotic Party(NPP) has introduced the timeline to carry the by-election within the Ejisu Constituency.
This follows the demise of the incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr John Kumah who died on March 7, 2024, at age 45 after a brief sickness.
A press launch signed by the General Secretary of NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong on March 29, 2024, stated, the by-election will likely be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, the opening of nominations will begin on Tuesday, April 2 and shut on Thursday, April 4, 2023.
“An Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate (APC) shall procure nomination varieties after the fee of a non-refundable utility charge of GHc3,000.00 in Bankers Draft in favour of the New Patriotic Party National Headquarters, Accra.
“To successfully file the nomination, an APC shall pay a non-refundable filing fee of thirty-five thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc35, 000.00) in Bankers Draft in favour of the New Patriotic Party National Headquarters, Accra”, the discharge added.
