According to a report by Kessben TV, Dendem gave up the ghost on the age of 75 following a brief sickness.
Dendem had devoted his entire life to recognizing and nurturing younger footballers, having been concerned in colts soccer for many years.
He can also be credited with unearthing a number of previous and current gamers who’ve gone on to play for the varied Ghana nationwide groups.
These embrace Tony Yeboah, Michael Osei, Prince Polley, William Thompson, Stanley Attobrah and Torric Jebrin.
Dendem’s demise has been mourned by each followers and journalists alike, with some taking to social media to pay tribute to the colts soccer icon.
Angel FM journalist Saddick Adams wrote on X (previously Twitter): “In an interview in 2019, Saani Dendem could claim training about 5,000 footballers 2,500 of whom played professionally. I am among the other 2500 that didn’t make it in football. In his elements, he was a father figure to all of us.”
Citi FM’s Godfred Akoto Boafo additionally added: “RIP to a true legend of our game. These are the hero makers. Once gifted me his own wrist watch because mine was broken during a scouting trip. Very few could mould talent like him. Rest well Demdem.”
