Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has introduced some tax reforms he intends to implement if he turns into president in January 2025.
He plans to simplify tax funds for companies and promote development by implementing a tax amnesty and a flat tax charge in 2025.
“My new, friendly tax reforms are aimed at boosting indigenous businesses,” he famous.
Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly often called Opanyin Agyekum, chatting with this throughout a panel dialogue on Peace FM‘s morning present ‘Kokrokoo’, urged the Vice President to implement the tax reforms now.
“If we want things to change, it can be done…Bawumia is part of this government. He is the Vice President, so if he intends to do something, it can start now, before the election. if you push it to 2025, you’re trying to take yourself out of what is happening in your government. He (Bawumia) shouldn’t wait until he becomes President,” he urged.
Meanwhile, he has backed plans to widen the tax web.
