Ace broadcaster and host of Ghana’s main morning present “Kokrokoo” aired on Peace FM, Kwami Sefa Kayi, has expressed his opinion on the rejoinder by the members of the Majority Caucus relating to studies of a reshuffle of their management.
Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately known as “Chairman General”, final Wednesday gave a touch on his present of a potential change within the majority management, naming the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, as the brand new majority chief.
But the Majority Caucus, at a press convention yesterday, debunked the claims.
The First Deputy Speaker and Bekwai lawmaker, Joseph Osei Owusu, asserted that “the majority caucus has not made any changes in its leadership; the majority caucus has not contemplated making any changes to its leadership, and we will tell the world and Ghana to ignore any such publication.”
He added, “We want to assure you that we have confidence in the leadership and the status quo shall remain; we are aware that upon the nomination of one of the Deputy Whips as a minister, a replacement will be made, that replacement will be made by the caucus when we have the opportunity and the time to consider the appropriate replacement; this is all the information we have to share.”
Commenting on the difficulty, Mr. Sefa Kayi assumed a misunderstanding between the management of the New Patriotic Party and the Majority Caucus, which is why the Majority would go for a press convention to settle what they really feel is deceptive info for the general public.
To the Chairman General, the bulk’s response and medium for responding to the reshuffle present “there is a crack, a big crack” within the New Patriotic Party.
“Lack of communication shows cracks,” he iterated.
The shrewd presenter emphasised, “For Joe Osei Owusu to come forward and lead a press conference and to debunk…If there were no conflicts, there would have been easier channels of communication.”
“Joe Osei Owusu is not a small boy. First Deputy Speaker, solid guy!” he exclaimed.
