Tottenham Hotspur are not in the race for the signature of Galatasaray star and Everton target Nicolo Zaniolo.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joined Galatasaray in the winter transfer window last season from Roma.
Tottenham were keen on bringing Zaniolo to north London in January, but they were interested in a loan move with the option to buy.
It has been suggested that Tottenham retained their interest in the midfielder and are working to add him to their squad this summer.
But according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Spurs have ended their pursuit of Zaniolo.
Tottenham’s former sporting director, Fabio Paratici, is an admirer of the 23-year-old and with his departure in April, Spurs have decided to move on from Zaniolo.
However, the Italian international has no shortage of admirers in the Premier League, as Everton and Bournemouth are claimed to be interested in acquiring his signature.
Everton, under Sean Dyche’s management, are determined not to repeat last season’s struggles and believe Zaniolo can strengthen their midfield.
The Toffees are set to face tough competition in their attempt to sign the Galatasaray star, as several Italian outfits are also interested in him.
