Tullow Ghana has made a substantial funding of GH¢1.5 million in 10 promising agribusinesses throughout the nation.
The funding is a part of the Tullow AgriVentures Programme (TAP) initiative designed to empower small and medium-scale enterprises inside Ghana’s agricultural worth chain.
The TAP initiative, which has Innohub Foundation as its implementing associate, is a multi-year challenge aimed toward enhancing employment alternatives, offering important coaching for startups, and selling sustainable development inside the agribusiness sector.
Through the programme, Tullow finally goals to launch 600 new agribusinesses and assist 30 current ventures to increase, and thereby create 1,500 direct and 4,500 oblique jobs.
At a current aggressive Pitch Event held in Accra, 14 shortlisted agribusinesses offered their modern initiatives to a panel of trade consultants.
From this group, 10 companies – Tropical Snacks, Vicca Juice, Fafas Breakfast, Entofarms, H.A Farms, Madolf Ventures, Wami Agro, Vokia Farms, Defarmacist Group Limited, and Minana Services had been chosen, every receiving GH¢150,000 to increase their operations in Ghana and the sub-region.
Additionally, they may even get market entry and enterprise development assist.
The panel of consultants evaluated the agribusinesses based mostly on scalskill, impression, and sustainability.
