Speaking on the opening of a safety summit, organised by LASUED in Otto-Ijanikin, Lagos, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bidemi Lafiaji-Okuneye, defined, “The college has come to remain and as main stakeholders, we should be part of fingers to develop the promising citadel of studying.
“In the face of the rising degree of worldwide insecurity, crime, drug use and abuse, and different social issues, we should nib the social misdemeanours within the bud and be certain that the college survives, grows, and prospers.
“We can objectify these objectives provided that we go at it with all fingers on the deck.
“Our collective protection of the university is necessary so that by the time the child becomes the father of the man, our names will be written in gold, and we will be happy that we are part of the success story.”
She added that it was based mostly on that that the college administration organised the safety summit.

LASUED was established in 2022 following the approval by the National Universities Commission and recognition by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, in February 2022.
