Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip, didn’t mince phrases as he criticized Independent Presidential aspirant Alan Kyerematen for his latest remark. Alan Kyerematen had instructed that Ghana, with a Christian majority, ought to elect a Christian chief as president in 2024.
Alan Kyerematen, whereas talking on the Church of Pentecost’s Easter Sunday Convention on the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Assembly, mentioned: “As a predominantly Christian nation, as Christians, it is our responsibility that we elect a Christian leader who is also Christlike,” he acknowledged whereas touting himself as the person to remodel the nation.”
He added, “If God touches your heart and you vote for Alan Kyerematen, the transformative leader, then I can assure you, as our Lord Jesus did on the cross, promise that ye shall be in paradise with him; you shall also be in paradise when I come into power.”
Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, took to his X platform, and criticized Alan’s statement, describing it as “backward, horrible, and ugly.”
“The NPP has truly’suffered’ in bearing & tolerating you over the years. Show me one country globally that has succeeded by using your theory. Alan is clearly not relevant in our’modern’ body politics!..bow in shame!.”
